Homosexuality, Kids, and the Metric System

When my husband and I were adopting we had to deal with this issue with two boys. The first boy had grown up in a mostly gay positive environment and he had no problem with the fact that my husband and I were husbands, and that we were going to be his parents. In fact, when he met us he had gone and purchased a pink shirt to try to show us he was okay with the fact that we were gay. We had to tell him that we didn’t wear pink (but that he could if he wanted). He never touched the pink shirt again.
